Edale Appoints PT Samafitro Distributor For Indonesia Edale, a Canon company and a manufacturer of flexog- raphic carton and label presses, has signed a new distribu- tion agreement with PT Samafitro, an Indonesian industrial printing and finishing provider. This partnership expands Edale’s footprint in Southeast Asia, enabling label and carton converters across Indo- nesia to access sales, installation, and service support for Edale’s LabelLine and CartonLine platforms through an in-country partner. PT Samafitro, headquartered in Jakarta, already car- ries Canon solutions. The addition of Edale’s flexographic presses aligns well with its existing portfolio. Siegwerk Receives RecyClass Technology Siegwerk, a provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels, has received a Re- cyClass Technology Approval for various acrylic UV/ LED-curable inks and varnishes from its SICURA series. This marks a market first, according to the company, as it is the first technology approval granted by RecyClass for UV-curable ink technology used on polyethylene (PE) flexible packaging. The approval confirms that specific products from the company’s SICURA series, such as SICURA Nutriflex, SI- CURA Flex Dual Cure and SICURA Litho Pack, are fully compatible with the colored PE flexibles recycling stream in Europe. This applies as long as the packaging is de- signed in line with the conditions defined by RecyClass. The approval is based on independent laboratory testing of Siegwerk’s SICURA Nutriflex NT26 carried out in accor- dance with the RecyClass Recyclability Evaluation Proto- col for PE films.
