OVERVIEW
The WS pay schedule includes a variety of classified labor, maintenance, and trades roles, ranging from custodians to the administration of statewide facility maintenance and construction activities. Jobs in this pay schedule perform duties involving mobile equipment operations, construction, food service, buildings/grounds maintenance, communications, vehicle/equipment maintenance, etc.

The WS pay schedule structure consists of 24 pay grades. Each pay grade contains a minimum, midpoint, and maximum salary. The minimum of the lowest pay grade is $10.00 per hour or $20,800 annually. The maximum of the highest pay grade is $85.34 per hour or $177,507 annually. Range spreads, from minimum to maximum, are approximately 80% for all pay grades. Range minimums have a standard 7% progression from grade to grade that matches the percentage allowed for promotion under SCS Rule 6.7.
