Viterbi students meet with their academic advisor every semester for mandatory advisement. Appointments take place before your assigned registration date and time each semester. Advising sessions help ensure that you are working towards your goals, meeting your degree requirements, and staying on track for graduation.

SEMESTER START Have questions about the drop/add deadline, how to get involved, or anything else? Take advantage of in-person or online Drop-In Advising for quick questions! MID-SEMESTER Viterbi advisors meet with students each semester for Mandatory Advisement to talk about classes and explore how to make your interests into a reality. Check your STARS Report for the most up-to-date information on your degree progress.

REGISTRATION The Registrar’s Office will assign you a Permit to Register—a specific day and time you are eligible to register for classes. Until that time, you can build your ideal schedule through my.usc.edu and Web Registration.
