FRESHMAN ACADEMY (ENGR 102) All first-year students in Viterbi are invited to enroll in Freshman Academy, a tw0-credit class that encourages new Viterbi students to learn about the fields of engineering, understand how engineers think and approach problem solving, and examine the ethical, societal and political impact of engineering. The course is supplemented with co-curricular activities, both in and outside the classroom, that will connect you with Academy coaches, peers, and guest lectures in the field! environment. My goal is always to help them feel like they are not alone and to find ways to grow and develop their interests despite the challenges of your first semester in college. ”
