The complete renovation of the 60,000 s/f facility con- sists of five different dated structures and required in- tense pre-construction planning to work around exist- ing tenants and limited closing dates. New attractions and high tech equipment were introduced to engage the visitors. A new restaurant, Crayola Store, climbing structure and other attractions were also added to the facility. Boyle provided construction management ser- vices on the project, and was responsible for providing cost budgeting and value engineering, procurement schedule, and overall project schedule. The procure- ment of materials for Crayola Experience’s attractions was carefully planned and executed in concert with the physical changes to the building. With 15 weeks total for construction, including only 3 months closed to the public, (six weeks for construction, six weeks for exhibit installation), Boyle carefully orchestrated contractors and equipment providers.
The Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute is a two-story addition to the existing cancer center expanding cur- rent programs and adding new programs that integrate the primary aspects of cancer treatment in a single fa- cility for patient care. Diagnosis and treatment plan- ning, treatment, wellness and education are located in one facility within the Suburban Outpatient Pavilion. The principal elements include a medical oncology practice, a Patient Care Center, Infusion Center, con- ference room, administrative and support spaces, roof top Healing Garden, Meditation Pavilion, and Radia- tion and Oncology treatments offering advanced tech- nologies such as Gamma Knife, TomoTherapy and the nation’s first Cyberknife M6.
Keystruct Construction Inc., performed installation of new entry, office installation and façade improve- ments in under 11 weeks from Design documenta- tion submission to Township for Construction per- mit through to Occupancy Permit. This fast tracked project was necessary to accommodate the move in of critical production support, IT improvements as well as employee services. Tenant was able to take control of finished spaces as delivered without loosing any production time. Keystruct brought project in on time and under budget.!!!
