HAWAIIAN PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Play pickleball and build a poker hand! We had 104 participants! Players with the best poker hands were winners! PICKLEBALL COMMITTEE
Thank you to Colleen Iwanicka and Karen Schaper for their service over the past few years. They are now stepping down and their positions will be filled by Lynn Barry (secretary) and Kristin Rosdal (ambassador coordinator). They join Keith Bassham (president), Gary Oedekerk (vice president), Kyle Ahrberg (treasurer) and Sue Anderson (events).
COURT MAINTENANCE VOLUNTEERS
Thanks to Steve Flood and his eleven volunteers who not only blow the courts every morning, but assist in cleaning courts on the first Sunday of every month. Court lights have been repaired and now shut off at 8:03 PM. Fence guards will be replaced this summer. We are grateful for the time you all donate!
SKILLS AND DRILLS
After Can/AM, skills and drills will return only on Tuesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. A huge thank you to all those who have been on the teaching team this year including Gary Oedekerk, John Boudin, Keith Bassham, Karen Schaper, Margaret Van Veen - Hill, Ron Anderson, Bonny Friesen, Mindy Feldman, Alisia Foyle, Bob Foyle, Steve Unverzagt, Kristin Rosdal, Nick Rosdal, Taunya - Rae Hicks, Dave Feldman, Blondine Loewen, Mark Kostick, and Mike Moore.
CAN/AM PICKLEBALL
We brought our “ A ” game or our “ Eh ” game to the pickleball events of Men ’ s Doubles (Feb 21), Women ’ s Doubles (Feb 22) and Mixed Doubles (Feb 23)! Lunch served on Feb 23.
PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR ON THE COURTS
A reminder to pickleball players about the value of wearing sport glasses on the courts. There are increasing numbers of players receiving eye injuries. Let that not apply to ORPS players. Be safe out there!!
