red. Congratulations to all the players and the volunteers who manned the bars on the course, served the sandwiches and cookies, and the Quilters for embroidering the winners ’ towels. Speaking of the Quilters, did you know that Mike Schnarr buys 50/50 tickets and never wins, but one Thursday he pledged his winnings to go to the Quilters for their charity Shelter from the Storm. Wow. Has it been busy or what. The Golf Committee has been trying to get more players on the course. Even with the chilly mornings and a few bad days (no thanks to Punxsutaweny Phil), play has increased by 13%. We ’ re trying more shotgun starts after Tuesday and Thursday events to allow more golfers on the course. Golf faster, folks. Then we had a record number of players for the Sweetheart Tournament (320 golf- ers). A special thank you to Virginia Gayken and her aide de camp Allen for organizing the tournament. There are many photos on the Owners ’ Facebook Groups.
