Mark Hutton
Mark began his musical journey early in life playing organ at church when he was ten. He went on to be trained in classical piano performance. At 15, he bought his father a guitar and never looked back. He has lived in Alaska for 51 years where he has caught a gazillon salmon and where his bands have played to many crowds of more than a thousand people. He and his amazing wife of 42 years, Martha, recently moved full time to Surprise where they have found a life full of volunteer work, music and wonderful friends. Mark has written and produced two song books of original songs, but his true love is the current band, Silver Linings, the band of his dreams.
Kathy Boland
Kathy and her husband, John, moved to Arizona from Chicago over 20 years ago. They have lived in Grand for over 13 years. In 2021, Kathy decided to join the Music Club to sing in the Celebration of Music. It did not work out as she planned, but she enjoyed the experience. She also decided singing was something of which she wanted to do more. She sang in a couple of Music Club shows in 2022 and met many talented musicians and vocalists. One of those individuals was a gentleman by the name of Marv Myhre. In the spring of 2023, he gave her a call and asked if she would be interested in singing with Mark Hutton. Mark had a show and needed a female vocalist to fill in. That was her start with the soon to be Silver Linings Band.
Tim Fitzpatrick
Tim started playing drums in Junior High School and joined a band the summer of his senior year. Their recordings were part of the early surf music scene in California. He moved on to play in Las Vegas and various night clubs until his kids started school when he retired his set. 30 years later an invitation to play at a reunion of Surf Bands got him playing again . He is still playing on the drum set used on The Lively Ones recordings.
Jake Gibbs Jake and his wife, Vicki, moved to The Grand in 2016 and have enjoyed every minute of it. Jake was born and raised on a farm in rural Tennessee south of Nashville. They lived so far out in the sticks that they did not get the Saturday night Grand Ole Opry radio show until the following Thursday! :-) Country music is in his blood. His Grandmother’s siblings had a family band and entertained the community on Saturday nights. Jake, an electrical engineer and former Navy Seabee, plays the bass for Silver Linings. Away from the band, Jake plays guitar and en- tertains with Vicki who also plays guitar and sings.

Odie is currently a member of several groups , playing Old Time, Bluegrass, Folk, Gospel and Country music.
Jim Torrence
Jim got his first guitar at the age of 10. He took lessons for a month and hated it. He has been self-taught since then so he was able to learn plenty of bad habits! He played in bands throughout the ‘80’s where he met his wife, Marilyn. After getting married and starting a family and a business, he quit playing until he retired in 2016. This was when he decided to pull his old guitar out from under the bed and pick up where he left off. He finally found his way into the Grand Music Club Blues Show in February 2025. He is grateful to be able to return to the joy and passion of music that has always been an important and defining part of his life.
