Jim Torrence
Jim got his first guitar at the age of 10. He took lessons for a month and hated it. He has been self-taught since then so he was able to learn plenty of bad habits! He played in bands throughout the ‘80’s where he met his wife, Marilyn. After getting married and starting a family and a business, he quit playing until he retired in 2016. This was when he decided to pull his old guitar out from under the bed and pick up where he left off. He finally found his way into the Grand Music Club Blues Show in February 2025. He is grateful to be able to return to the joy and passion of music that has always been an important and defining part of his life.
