Emission Free Delivery

We recently took part in the UK's first emission-free delivery trial, led by XeroE. The trial used electric vans, cargo bikes, and Varamis rail to transport packages between Birmingham and Glasgow, reducing emissions and urban congestion.

Meet Zoe + Lou
World Book Day Competition! To celebrate World Book Day (March 6, 2025) and highlight the benefits of reading, the Wellbeing team are hosting a dress-up competition! How to enter... On or before World Book Day, dress up as your favourite character from your favourite book Send a photo to wellbeing@whistl.co.uk The winners will be voted for by your fellow colleagues on Marvin! The top three winners voted for will receive a £25 voucher to spend wherever they like! The day’s not just for the kids, so whether you’re working from home, at your site or in the office, let’s all join in! Good luck! Over £6,000 raised for local charities Congratulations to all sites who participated in charity work in 2024. A combined total of £6,136.27 was raised, which the business has kindly agreed to match for each charity! Want to raise money for charity in 2025? Make sure to fill out the nomination form on Marvin with your chosen charity and send it to charity@whistl.co.uk by Friday 14th February 2025. More information on Marvin!

Steve’s Jump Due to bad weather back in December, Steve Gelling’s parachute jump for Road Safety has been rescheduled for Saturday 1st March . Steve is jumping to raise money for Brake, the UK’s road safety charity. Scan the QR code to donate to Steve’s brave leap.
Be Kind Monday 17th February 2025 is Random Act of Kindness Day . Brighten someone’s day by choosing kindness, through random acts. This could be by complimenting someone, giving them a smile sticker on Marvin or donating to a charity. It’s up to you .

2025 Holiday requests

Employee holiday entitlement for 2025 has been updated in the HeRo system for the year ahead.
Maximise Marvin for 2025 Marvin is the one place you can Once approval has been granted then update your work calendar, so your holiday dates are visible to your colleagues if applicable. Failure to follow the above process may lead to holiday requests being rejected. Effective immediately, the holiday booking process is as follows for all employees: All holiday requests should be made by employees using HeRo Self Service ONLY. No holiday should be considered as authorised until your Line Manager has approved your requests in HeRo and this is captured in the system.
