RODS
If strength is your primary concern, solid rods are your solution. Their rigidity also makes them extremely convenient, allowing you to insert, move or remove a rod without a ladder. That’s welcome news for many commercial insurers and Workman’s Comp coverages. And rods allow for a better anti-theft solution, as they may be attached to a lower track in a xed, nearly tensioned manner. Rods are available in both aluminum and stainless steel. Both are 4mm (~5/32") square pro le. Stainless steel is higher in strength and also resists bowing, particularly in longer lengths. Various nished end-shapes specialize a rod for a particular function.
