approximately 46 chapter facilities across the United States and Canada. “It is a total of four floors and sleeps 28 members. The second and third residential floors have a combined total of 16 bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. The basement floor has a TV room, a meeting room equipped with a projector, multiple study areas and in-house laundry. The main floor has a dining room large enough to seat the entire chapter, as well as a large living room.” The University of Wyoming employs a resident advisor (RA) who lives on-site at the facility. Additional security measures to optimize resident safety include a key card access system managed by the
university and 1872 Properties.
“The chapter highlights the house on their Instagram a lot,” Hannah said. “They are so excited to finally be in a facility that sleeps more of their members and has a true ‘chapter house’ feel to it.” The chapter has hosted several events at their new facility since moving in last year, including recruitment, a parents’ weekend and philanthropy events like Mac 'N Phis. We can't wait to see what memories our members make in their beautiful new home. Keep up with Kappa Iota- Wyoming on Instagram, @uwyoalphaphi.
“The exterior facility doors and every bedroom, as well as the bathrooms on the second and third floor, require a key card,” Hannah shared. “The non- resident student cards are permitted access to the facility during certain hours of the day, but their keycards will not work in the bedrooms. Similarly, the resident members get 24/7 access to all the exterior doors and their assigned bedroom and bathroom access.” According to Hannah, the collegians who reside at the new chapter house have enjoyed the larger house size and the updated aesthetics.
