2025 Fort Cody Summer Music Series

The Nashville recording artist has released three albums and toured the country in that time, opening for numerous acts including The Fixx, Selah and Montgomery Gentry. June 19 will see Wyoming acoustic folk artist Quinlan Valdez come to North Platte. Valdez has been recording music and touring Wyoming and the surrounding states since 2018. Tanner Sovereign, an Elkhorn-based country singer/songwriter, will take the stage June 26. His latest single, “Heart Thief,” can be found on all major streaming platforms. Janelle Irwin, a country rock artist from Haigler, will perform July 3. Blues/ American artists Doug Rees and Ken Keller will perform July 10, and singer/ songwriter Mike Brown will perform July 17. Performing as Alli and I, Andrew Standley will take the stage on July 24. Standley and his guitar, Alli, have been performing and recording music since 2007. His blend of punk, emo, Americana and folk can be heard on his 2015 full-length album “Imaginary

Hearts.” Southern soul singer J Edwards will perform July 31. To wrap up the 2025 Fort Cody Music Series, Wyoming singer/songwriter Mason McTell will take the stage Aug. 7. McTell’s full-length album “Drunks and Thieves” is streaming on all major platforms. Martinson noted that while many of the artists are familiar faces to the Fort Cody stage, Mason McTell, J Edwards, Tanner Sovereign are performing for the first time. Season passes are $25 with individual concerts $5. “When we started the series in 2011, the focus was making it family friendly and affordable, because we wanted it to be a place where people who are in North Platte traveling through on vacation could come and listen to music,” Martinson said. At the time, he said most concert venues in North Platte were at over-21 bars and lounges. Founding a music series at Fort Cody Trading Post allowed him to create a family-friendly atmosphere for all ages, and at a low price.

From the second Thursday in June to the first Thursday in August,, you can hear soulful roots, rock and folk music at Fort Cody Trading Post during NRoute Entertainment’s annual Summer Music Series. The 15th edition of the Fort Cody Music Series features “something different every week and a little bit of something for everybody.” organizer Rob Martinson said. Local openers take the stage at 6 p.m. each Thursday, followed by the headline act. Martinson noted that headliners are off stage by 9 p.m. “We’ve got a great stage, a great sound system — it fills the stockade back there and bounces off the Hampton (Inn),” Martinson said. This year’s offerings range from Americana to acoustic folk, country, Southern soul, blues and singer/ songwriter.
