Prairie Arts Center There are lots of places where you can view other people’s artwork. But great art on display isn’t the sole reason that Prairie Arts Center gets Buffalo Bill’s Buffalo of Approval. Prairie Arts Center gets this coveted honor because not only can you view, and purchase, great pieces of artwork but you can take a lesson or class and create your own masterpiece. Housed in the historic 1913 North Platte Post Office Building, the arts center has fantastic natural light in their main teaching space as well as a central main gallery that features continuous shows throughout the year. The basement is now home to 3D art workshops. The Prairie Arts Center continues to add to its impressive collection with a new textile gallery and library. In addition to all the art, there’s a banquet room and rooftop patio that are a great location for group events. Come to North Platte and express your artistic side with a few friends or a small group, find inspiration among the great works of art and find out why this place absolutely deserves Buffalo Bill’s coveted Buffalo of Approval.
