MAYORS PRAYER
We had a powerful morning at the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, where around 60 community members gathered in unity to pray over the city we love. Churches, businesses, and neighbors came together for a time of reflection and connection.
A special moment came with a moving performance of The Lord’s Prayer by Hartselle High School’s show choir.
Thank you to our sponsors—Sonoco, East Highland Baptist Church, HFAchurch, The Gathering, and Mt. Zion Baptist Church —for helping make this meaningful event possible.

IMPACT Graduation
This year’s IMPACT Student Leadership Program united outstanding students from across Morgan County—including Danville, Falkville, Hartselle, Brewer, and Decatur Heritage—for a powerful journey of leadership and self-discovery. From personality insights to emotional intelligence, students began by learning how to understand themselves and others— foundational skills for any great leader. They explored public service through an inspiring visit to the Hartselle Police Department and heard firsthand leadership stories from Rocket City Trash Pandas’ Lindsay Tapscott. A campus visit to Athens State University gave students a taste of college life and practical tools for success, followed by a workforce development session with HACC Board Member Rocky Smith. In Montgomery, they experienced government in action—meeting Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth, Senator Arthur Orr, and others who encouraged them to lead with purpose. The final session brought it all home with a tour of local service sites and a capstone public speaking workshop. These students are not only prepared for what’s next—they’re ready to lead it.
