EVOLUTION GNAT STRAINERS Here are a couple of them as ta u g h t in our school books: Prof. D. W, LaRue (Psychology for Teachers) says: “We are all descended from a, simple worm -like creature. The segments of our backbone are memorials of the segments of its body.” Isn ’t th a t science for you? Here Is ano th er of those mystic gems taken from Sim mon’s P ractical Psychology (P. 197 ): “A t one stage of evolution the duck’s foot was no t webbed, but several thou sand years back he decided to live in th e w ater. | Where upon he began to desire and eventually evolved a foot adapted to'sw imm ing. The crane got his long legs because he wished to wade. The beaver developed his broad trowel like ta il because he wished to create a dam. Man got his hand because he wished to be a builder, and his fron tal brain development, because he wished to become a th in k e r.” JUST BY WISHING!. O SUCH FOOLOLOGY! Man did not have any b rain development’and he ju st wished for one and got it. The M aterialists have all along ,b een .telling us th a t it is the brain alone th a t thinks and wishes. But here comes a modern Psychologist and tells us th a t man wished w ithout a brain. STAR OF THE MORNING, pray tell us how the Psychologists got to be so knowing as to know all this! And listen— our boys and girls are ta u g h t to believe th a t stu ff-^and grow up to laugh a t the Bible story of creation by th e eternal God. Where are th e men of sense in our schools and colleges? If we have them th ere let them come out and put a quietus on these heathen M aterialists and Psychologists and Evo lutionists th a t are heathenizing our colleges and schools. . — Sel. I M l m HIS FULNESS “The Fulness of His Blessing encompasseth our way; The Fulness of His Prom ises crowns every brightening day; The Fulness, of His Glory is beam ing from above, While more and more we realize th e Fulness of His love.” THE CHILDREN’S GARDEN IN FAR-OFF INDIA He***** Who can tell the splendid and far-reaching results -—in tim e and eternity—-which may come from the work being done by Mrs. Meader, th e efficient editor of “The Children’s Garden” page of The K ing’s Business? (See Page 271 this issue). , The following little le tte r w ritten to th e editor by one of th e “G ardeners” in India, stirred our hearts and made us wish th a t every child in The K ing’s Business Fam ily m ight he a member of- “The Red Book Club” of which little Daphney speaks so affec tionately. Read her le tte r for yourself: “Dear Mr. Horton: Thank you ever so much for th e lovely little book called the ‘Gospel of St. Jo h n ’ which you have so kindly given to each of us little ‘G ardeners.’ I love the little book and read it every day. I have gone nearly through it. I am 11 years old. My aunt, Miss Chenapa, gets The K ing’s Business, and one day I saw ‘The Children’s G arden’ in it and told my a u n t I wanted to be a member of the little Red Book Club, and when she said I m ight I was so happy and w rote to Mrs. Meader and she very kindly made me a mem ber. Mrs. Meader kindly told some of th e little Gar deners to w rite to me and In reply I have w ritten to them. I am very in terested in the Bible studies. Am sending th is le tte r to Mrs. Meader for correction, if needed. W ith my best wishes, Yours truly, (Signed) Daphney Sukum ari H arlek ar.”
