do we read that Christ is bom IN us. The Scripture says, “Unto you is bom this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord.” However, Paul did say to the Galatians, “ My lit tle children . . . I travail in birth . . . until Christ be formed in you” (Gal. 4:19). This is not a birth but a reconse cration. Christ is to be Lord in us and magnified in our bodies. THE BIRTH OF JESUS IS IMPORTANT Matt. 1:21 Angels came to tell the story and the heavenly hosts sang about it. Only now could it be said truthfully that there would be peace on earth and good will to men. Every other scheme and plan to accomplish this result had failed. The shores of the stream of time are lit tered with the wrecks of men’s plans and programs to promote peace. None of these schemes change men’s hearts. Unsaved men never live in peace with their fellows. The coming of Jesus is the only answer. THE BIRTH OF JESUS WAS NECESSARY 1 John 4:14 Men were hopelessly lost and still are. No person has power to remove his sins nor to make himself fit for the presence of God. No person is able to ascend unto God. No one has the necessary assets whereby he may purchase a place in glory. Christ alone came to bring men to God. He only is able to bridge the gulf and cross the gap that separates sin ners from God. Jesus came to make Heaven possible to a lost sinner. THE BIRTH OF JESUS CAUSED GREAT JOY Luke 2:20 The angels were glad. The heavenly hosts were happy. The shepherds became singers. The sunshine of Heaven flooded the darkness of earth. The Saviour had come; the Redeemer had appeared. The Christ of the Old Testament had been bom. Ever since that eventful night, joy has reigned in the hearts and lives of those who receive Him. Zacchaeus was glad when he saw Jesus and came down from the tree to give Him a cordial wel come into his home. The disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. He is the cause of great joy to His people and sorrow to sinners. THE BIRTH OF JESUS WAS SUFFICIENT Luke 1:32 God did not send into the world a new set of plans and commandments even though the old ones had failed to help man. He did not plan on any program that included any man or woman in its design. Everything that man touches ut terly fails. Men are masters at sinful connivings. God cannot let any of His enemies have a part in His program of salvation. There was no one on earth fit to enter into the holiness of this essen tial work. He must send His Son from Heaven.

any fee from her and the child, but on leaving camp we gave her $10.00 for services she rendered (washing dishes and scrubbing floors) while at camp. The poor woman has now become an advertising medium for our Mission, for wherever she goes she fearlessly tells the Jewish people what the “Missionar ies” have done for her. Many other wonderful things are being done by the Scott Mission, but this is sufficient to show that an aggressive work is done to bring the individual Jews to a saving and redeeming v-nwledge of Jesus Christ. “ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.'* What a blessed experience it is to have a share in this wonderful work of preaching the gospel to the Jews I W e need your prayerful support. The Scott Mission is the subject of conversa tion among Jews in New York and Chicago, in Paris and Berlin, Warsaw and Cracow, Vienna and Budapest, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Q. .W hy are Jews talking about the Scott Mission ? A ..O u r testimony by word and deed has made a tremendous impact on Jewry everywhere. The comment of the Jewish press also has stirred up the interest. Q. .W hat does the Jewish press say about the Scott Mission ? A . .The Jewish Journal, largest Jewish orthodox daily in New York, says: "Especially suc cessful in the work of winning souls is the missionary by the name Zeidman. He himself is from Poland, and he busies himself to be Protector of the immigrants arriving from Poland. (Praise the Lord! M .Z.) Zeidman has organized his mission house on Spadina Ave. in the very heart of the Jewish population in Toronto, a sort of Polish Landsmanschaft or Group gathering. This Missionary Zeidman does all he can to receive information when Polish Jews arrive in port, and makes it his business to welcome them, gives them money, rooms— in a word, Missionary Zeidman is very busy." Q. .W hy are Jews in Toronto astir and praising God for the work of the Scott Mission ? A .. It is impossible to report in the limited space of an “ad " all our activities, but the follow ing will illustrate our daily testimony to the Jewish people in Canada, Poland, Israel and elsewhere. A Jewish widow made application, for herself and little child, to go to Fresh Air Camp with a Jewish organization who insisted that the poor woman pay a fee of $15.00, even though she was without work and had no income. On being refused to be taken to the Jewish camp, the poor woman came to the Scott Mission. W e not only did not take
