usefulness in His service. We are not to remain babes in Christ always. We are to grow in grace and in knowledge as Ephesians 4 so fully describes. WE SHOULD GROW IN GRACE 2 Pet. 3:18 This commandment refers to our con duct. Our actions should reveal the in ner presence of the Holy Spirit as well as the guiding influence of the Scrip tures. Our words should reveal a holy walk with God so that what we say will reveal experiences of God’s presence. Our deeds should reflect holy desires bom of the Spirit of God and produced by the Word of God. Our ambitions, plans, and programs should be savored and flavored with the grace of Heaven. Then all will know that we belong to the living Lord and are influenced by His Word. WE SHOULD GROW IN KNOWLEDGE 2 Pet. 3:18 This growth refers to our character. What we are speaks more loudly than what we say. Those who observe us are intent on knowing what we are as well at; what we do. The Christian should be genuinely honest, upright, true, guided by holy impulses, and directed by godly counsel. His whole attitude should be one of kindness, goodness, and helpfulness. The Christian should grow more and more into the very likeness of Christ in character as well as in conduct. This is brought about by association with the Lord and by appropriating His Word in our souls. WE SHOULD GROW IN FRUIT It is the desire of our Lord that we should bear fruit and then more fruit and then much fruit. This is the pro gram which He enunciated. The branch cannot bear grapes unless it is joined to the vine. It must partake of the juice of the vine as well as the very nature of the vine. The branches must be pruned and well trained on the arbor where the sun will reach them and de velopment may be unhindered. So in our Christian lives we need the restraining influence as well as the beneficial influ ence of the Spirit of God and the Word of God. WE SHOULD GROW IN SIZE Eph. 4:13 Some Christians are dwarfed, shriv eled, and shrunken. They see nothing outside their own church or their own group or their own sphere. They think of nothing except that which will be to their own advantage and gain. God would have us be big Christians, big enough to see the other man’s interests. We should be interested in the work of other groups. We should look on the fields. Our capacity to understand the Scripture should be increased. We should increase in ability to handle every kind of Christian work. Thus we grow in stature. T H E K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S FULNESS John 15:8

Col. 1:10; 2 Pet. 3:18; Eph. 3:14-21 We should first settle definitely whether or not God has given us His nature, sent us the gift of eternal life, and really made us His children. To make a mistake about this is fatal. One of the proofs that we are really saved is. found in the fact that we do grow and develop in our knowledge of God, our understanding of His Word, and our
