“Chloé, take a big, deep breath in. Then let it out very slowly as you count to 10,” says Dad. Chloé takes a really deep breath and counts to 10 on her fingers as she lets out the air.
“Now say, ‘I can do this,’” says Dad. “I can do this,” says Chloé softly. “Do it again,” says Dad.

Chloé rubs Butter’s fur, but Butter does not purr. “Why do you look so sad?” Chloé asks Butter. “Dad, why is Butter sad?” Chloé asks her father. Dad comes in to look at Butter. Butter rubs on Chloé’s legs.
Later that day, Butter does not want to play. “Butter won’t play with me, Chloé,” pouts Sajés.

“This is it!” exclaims Chloé. “This is the style for me!” “I like it!” says Malika. “It’s perfect!” agrees Mom.
Malika gets to work washing and drying Chloé’s hair. Then she parts Chloé’s hair and puts hair oil in the parts. Malika begins to braid each section.
