Editing programs All new part programs can be edited. Program editing will not be possible for previously saved part files that the program author locked in the Allow Program Editing settings of the Program Properties step.
NOTE Program Edit copies should always be saved before locking programs, because locking a program in the Allow Program Editing setting is permanent. The second edit copy will be needed to perform any future edits.
Changes made to an existing program will be reflected in subsequent program runs for the current program file session. If the file is reloaded, changes will only be reflected if the program file was saved.
To edit a part program: 1 Load the program file as explained earlier if necessary. 2 Press Play to display the Run and Edit tabs at the top of the Feature List. The Edit tab will always be visible for new or unlocked programs. System toolbar > System menu > Play button 3 Press the Edit tab. Program steps will be listed in the Edit view. Select a program step to make changes to recorded Feature Detail, tolerance values, data exporting and printing commands. 4 Use the Feature Detail screens to make changes to tolerance and feature data for a selected program step.
