Playing from a Selected Step Program playback can begin at a specified program step. When playing from a selected step, the software will determine the requirements for generating feature context. If context dependent features have already been measured, the system will advance immediately to the selected step. If it is determined that additional context information is required, the operator will be prompted to measure the feature or features required to do so.

To play from a selected step: 1 Press the Edit tab to display all the program steps. 2 Select the program step that you would like to begin playing the program from. 3 Press the Play from Selected Step button Edit toolbar > Play from Selected Step button

As mentioned earlier, context dependent steps will be executed automatically or prompted for manually and then playback will begin from the selected step.

Single-stepping program execution (CNC systems) Program playback can be single-stepped from the beginning or from the current step. Each single-step executes an individual program line. For example, if a circle is measured by probing four points, single-stepping through the Circle measurement will require four steps. The current step indicator follows the single-step execution in the Feature List as the program in single-stepped.

To single-step program execution: 1 Press the Edit tab to display all the program steps. 2 Select the program step that you would like to begin playing the program from. 3 Press the Single-step button Edit toolbar > Single-Step button

Adding a User Message User messages can be added for program playback. To add a user message: 1 Press the Edit tab to display all the program steps. 2 Select the program step where you would like the user message displayed in program playback. The message will be played after the selected step. 3 Press the User Message button. Edit toolbar > User Message 4 The User Message dialog will appear. Enter the desired message and press Done to complete the message. The message will be played as part of playback. 5 Press the Save button to save the program change. System toolbar > System menu > Save button
