Auto Circle The Auto Circle function automatically probes a user specified number of points evenly distributed on the edge of a circle. When the specified number of points has been probed, the measurement is finished, the circle feature is entered into the Feature List, displayed in the Part View and the feature data and graphic are shown in the Feature Detail screen. The Feature Detail screen is displayed until: • The stage is moved to perform the next feature measurement • The Done or Delete button is pressed • A System toolbar menu button is pressed
To specify the number of points probed in an auto circle measurement: 1 Display the System menu System toolbar>System menu button 2 Display the Settings screens menu System menu>Settings screens button 3 Display the Measure Settings screen Settings screen menu>Measure 4 Enter the desired number of points for an auto circle measurement into the Circle Auto Finish (# pts) field 5 Set the Auto Finish Enabled field to Yes and press the Done button To conduct an auto circle measurement: 1 Select the auto optical edge crosshair probe from the probe menu. 2 Position the crosshair in the approximate center of the circle. 3 Press the Measure Circle button in the Measure toolbar. Measure toolbar > Measure Circle button 2 Press the Auto Circle button in the Measure Circle submenu. Measure Circle submenu > Auto Circle button
Measure toolbar > Probe button > Auto optical edge crosshair probe
The system will move the stage radially to probe an evenly distributed number of points as specified in the Circle Auto Finish field and will complete the circle measurement.
