This program focuses on the discipline and training in foil. A foil is a thrusting weapon with a thin, flexible blade and a small, round bell guard. Equipment is provided for beginning and intermediate participants; participants enrolled in Club Fencing should purchase their own electric equipment. Participants must have completed beginning fencing and have instructor approval before signing up for intermediate fencing and instructor approval to sign up for Club Fencing. Field Hockey: RISE Naperville Field Hockey • AGES 5-14 Come join one of the fastest growing youth sports with an introduction to Field Hockey this fall! In this 6-week program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the sport including stick handling, dribbling, passing/ receiving, shooting and rules of the game. Sessions are held outdoors, so please dress appropriately. Sneakers, shinguards and a mouthguard are required. Sticks available to borrow.
