ISLE OF WIGHT HOVERCRAFT EXPERIENCE, BRIGHTON AND PORTSMOUTH Enjoy a South Coast adventure with a thrilling Hovercraft ride across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Savour a 2 course lunch at Ryde Castle Pub, then explore Ryde and have free time to discover Portsmouth and Brighton. HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Portsmouth | Gunwharf Quays | Isle of Wight Hovercraft Experience | Sussex | Brighton | Lunch At Ryde Castle Pub DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Portsmouth, Hayling Island and arriving late afternoon at Langstone Hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Brighton Today we head east following the coast road to Worthing, Hove, and the famous resort of Brighton. We spend the day here. Enjoy a seafront stroll and explore the unique Lanes - a trendy area with cafes, bars and shops – an ideal spot for lunch. You may fancy a visit to the famous Royal Pavilion with its onion domes, or just relax and watch the world go by. Late afternoon we head back to the hotel. DAY THREE – Isle of Wight Hovercraft Experience and Ryde After breakfast, we head to Southsea for a Hovercraft flight across the Solent to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Enjoy the “Hovercraft Experience,” including meeting the crew, 360-degree turns, and a flight around local landmarks. On arrival, we’ll have a 2 course lunch at Ryde Castle Pub, followed by free time to explore the town before returning to Southsea. DAY FOUR – Portsmouth Enjoy maritime Portsmouth. There are lots of interesting things to see and do. Visit the Historic Dockyard, home of ‘Victory’ and ‘Mary Rose’. Perhaps wander around the Old Town and visit the lovely Cathedral as well as Spice Island, the former haunt of smugglers and press gangs. A visit to Gunwharf Quays is a must, with an array of excellent shops, bars and restaurants. Here you could take a ride up the awesome Spinnaker Tower for fabulous views along the south coast. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Leeds Castle | Penshurst Place | Hever Castle | Chartwell | Rochester DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Kent arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Leeds Castle Today, we visit Leeds Castle, a place brimming with over 900 years of glamorous history, lavish parties, and powerful women. Far from your typical fortress, the castle showcases a heritage shaped by visionaries, offering stories from the 9th to 20th centuries. Explore the cinematic history of queens from the Middle Ages and immerse yourself in the castle’s stunning 500 acres of parkland, filled with beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife, making it a truly unforgettable experience. DAY THREE – Penshurst Place and Gardens and Hever Castle Today, we visit two historic Kent estates with royal ties. Start with Penshurst Place, a medieval and Tudor gem gifted to the Sidney family by Edward VI in 1552. Explore its Elizabethan Gardens, dating back to the 14th century. Then, head to Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, where she spent time during her courtship with Henry VIII. Enjoy a leisurely tour of the castle and its stunning grounds. DAY FOUR – Chartwell and Rochester This morning, we visit Chartwell, the home of Sir Winston Churchill, filled with treasures and personal items, including the largest collection of his paintings. The house remains as it was during his family’s time, with beautiful gardens, a tree house, bomb crater, and Canadian camp to explore. Next, we head to historic Rochester, beloved by Charles Dickens, where you can admire the stunning Cathedral and castle, and enjoy the quaint high street filled with independent shops and cafes. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Leeds Castle | Maidstone | Royal Tunbridge Wells | Rochester | Broadstairs | Whitstable DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Kent arriving late afternoon This morning, we drive into Maidstone where you have time to explore and obtain lunch before our visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells. The town lies in the heart of the beautiful High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Browse among the chic independent shops of the colonnaded Pantiles and the High Street, with its buzzy cafe’s bars, music, and one-of-a-kind shops. DAY THREE – Rochester and Leeds Castle This morning, we visit the town of Rochester with its magnificent Cathedral and historic castle. Take a stroll along High Street and explore the old town and cobbled streets. We have a chance to obtain lunch here before our afternoon visit to Leeds Castle. DAY FOUR – Broadstairs and Whitstable you will have time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Maidstone and Royal Tunbridge Wells This morning, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Kent Downs to the coastal town of Broadstairs. The town lies above a harbour with cliffs on either side. It has seven bays of golden sand, which are Dumpton Gap, Louisa Bay, Viking Bay, Stone Bay, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay. North Foreland rises between Stone Bay and Joss Bay. On the cliffs above Kingsgate Bay is Kingsgate Castle, formerly part of the estate of Lord Holland but now converted into private residences. After our visit we journey to Whitstable. It has traditional charms, a strong arts culture and rich maritime history. Whitstable’s main claim to fame is its oysters which remain an intrinsic part of this sea town’s character and are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

With its sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs, it’s easy to see why the Isle of Wight has been a favourite since Victorian times. HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Carisbrooke Castle | IOW Donkey Sanctuary | Isle of Wight Pearl | Two Ports Cruise | Osborne House | Isle of Wight Steam Railway DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Portsmouth for our late afternoon ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight. DAY TWO – Carisbrooke Castle and Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary We first visit Carisbrooke Castle, once home to Charles I and Princess Beatrice. Explore the museum, Edwardian garden, and meet the famous Carisbrooke donkeys. We then head to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, where donkeys find peace in the Wroxall valley. DAY THREE – ‘Two Ports’ Cruise of Cowes and Portsmouth and Isle of Wight Pearl Today we cruise from Cowes Harbour into the Solent, taking in views of the island’s coastline, Osborne House, sea forts, and Portsmouth Naval Base. Later, we visit Brighstone to explore its pearl jewellery collection, enjoy cliff-top views, a butterfly meadow, and a café. DAY FOUR – Rochester – Osborne House and Isle of Wight Steam Railway This morning, we enjoy a visit to Osborne House, the beloved island retreat of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Step into the richly decorated rooms and explore the stunning grounds that once hosted royal family life. Later, we journey to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for a nostalgic trip through the countryside aboard beautifully restored vintage carriages—an experience that truly takes you back in time. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our way back to the ferry and home, with comfort stops en route.
