HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Guided Tour of Orkney | Stromness | Italian Chapel | Skara Brae | Cairngorm National Park | Inverness | Castle of Mey | Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Explorers Garden DAY ONE – Arrival From your doorstep, we head north to Perthshire and our hotel. Along the way, we’ll make leisurely stops for your comfort. Arrive at your hotel in Perth with time to unwind before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Cairngorm National Park and Inverness This morning we leave our overnight hotel and travel further north to Wick in Scotland’s Far North, driving through the stunning Cairngorm National Park, Britain’s largest mountain range, en route to Inverness, or lunchtime stop today. Spend lunchtime at leisure in this Highland city before continuing to Wick - your home for three nights. DAY THREE – Castle of Mey This morning we head to the Castle of Mey, with its long and interesting history as the most northerly inhabited castle in Scotland. The much- adored home of the late Queen Mother. Prepare for a unique look into royal family life as you explore this magnificent 16-century Castle, with stunning views across the Pentland Firth towards Orkney. DAY FOUR – Guided Tour of Orkney, Italian Chapel, and Skara Brae Today we make an early start and travel to catch the ferry to Orkney, where we’ll be joined by a local guide for the day. Highlights include the Italian Chapel, built by WWII prisoners, and the Churchill Barriers. In Kirkwall, Orkney’s largest town, enjoy some free time before continuing to the Ring of Brodgar, a mystical stone circle dating back to 2500BC. We then visit the remarkably preserved Neolithic village of Skara Brae and nearby Skaill House, a grand 17th-century mansion overlooking the Bay of Skaill. We return by ferry to the mainland after a memorable day. DAY FIVE – Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Explorers Garden We head south today and our overnight hotel in Lockerbie, on our journey we’ll stop in Pitlochry, and visit the Pitlochry Festival Theatre where you can enjoy refreshments in the café, and stretch your legs in the Explorers Garden, a rare opportunity to experience art in nature, in a stunning Highland location, before continuing to over overnight hotel. We’ll then continue our journey to Lockerbie.

DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Ireland. We arrive at Dublin Port and then our hotel in Killadeas. DAY TWO – Belleek Pottery and Enniskillen Castle Museums Today, we visit Belleek, home of Ireland’s oldest pottery. After lunch in Enniskillen, we visit Enniskillen Castle Museums, housing the Fermanagh County Museum and The Inniskillings Museum. DAY THREE – Manor House Lady of the Lake Cruise and Boatyard Distillery This morning, we cruise on Lough Erne aboard the Lady of the Lake, enjoying the Fermanagh Lakelands’ beauty. Then, we visit the Boatyard Distillery, Fermanagh’s first legal distillery since 1890, for a 90-minute tour. DAY FOUR – Ulster American Folk Park and Blessingbourne Estate After breakfast, we visit the Ulster American Folk Park, where re- enactments and exhibits tell the story of Irish emigration to North America. We then explore Blessingbourne Estate, including its Victorian gardens, the 19th-century Manor House, and the Coach, Carriage, and Costume Collections. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast we begin our journey back to Dublin and our crossing to Holyhead and home.
