HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Blenheim Palace | Stratford-upon-Avon | British Ironworks Centre DAY ONE – Stratford-upon-Avon and Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Stratford-upon-Avon, we first have some time in Stratford-upon-Avon, before we make our way to our hotel, arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Blenheim Palace This morning we journey to the magnificent Blenheim Palace, famous birthplace of Winston Churchill. Explore the exquisitely festive, fairytale themed palace interior featuring a gigantic Christmas tree in the great hall. Outside in the Great Courtyard soak up the festive atmosphere of a Christmas market with over local 70 traders offering a variety of artisan goods. DAY THREE – British Ironwork Centre and Departure After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and first make our way to the British ironworks Centre, where you have time for a browse and an explore, and lunch before we continue our journey home.

DAY TWO – Castle Howard at Christmas This morning we travel north to magnificent stately home Castle Howard. Step into an enchanted world as we take a free-flowing walk through the beautifully decorated house and visit the gift emporium. DAY THREE – York Today we travel the short distance to York, where you have the day at leisure to explore this historic city and all its charm. Wander through its cobbled streets, taking in the sights of medieval buildings and iconic landmarks. The Christmas market is a highlight, with a wonderful selection of festive stalls offering unique gifts, delicious treats, and seasonal cheer for you to enjoy. DAY FOUR – The World of James Herriot and Oswaldtwistle Mills This morning, we travel to the pretty Yorkshire village of Thirsk to visit the World of James Herriot. Discover where one of the most popular authors of the 20th century lived, worked and wrote his much-loved stories, based on his experience as a surgeon working among the Yorkshire farming community. We’ll then make our way to Oswaldtwistle Mills for a little retail therapy and refreshments before we return to our hotel. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast and a little more time in York this morning, we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Afterward, we continue our journey to Caernarfon, where you’ll check into your hotel. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with mulled wine to get you into the festive spirit. You’ll then have some free time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Caernarfon Today, we have a day at leisure in Caernarfon. Explore the famous Caernarfon Castle, or stroll along the scenic waterfront. There’s also the chance to pop into local shops or enjoy a peaceful walk by the water. In the afternoon, we’ll gather for some tea and coffee and mince pies, followed by live entertainment to enjoy after dinner. DAY THREE – Portmeirion Today we explore Portmeirion with its architectural heritage, stunning setting and sub-tropical gardens. Situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, the Italian Riviera meets rural Wales with a riot of colour and architectural styles.Built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion is now one of Wales’ most popular tourist destinations. Portmeirion Village is well known as the location for the 1960s cult TV series The Prisoner. We’ll return to our hotel later, with time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY FOUR – Departure After breakfast we depart from our hotel and make our way home.
