Time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Glasgow Christmas Market Our day takes us to Glasgow for the much-loved Glasgow Christmas Markets. The markets encompass colourful stalls offering a selection of gifts, handmade products, and world cuisine set in a festive village of rustic cabins and stalls. Whether you’re shopping for a special gift or looking for a bite to eat, Glasgow’s Christmas Markets will be sure to please. DAY THREE – Christmas at Abbotsford Today we take a short journey to experience the festive magic of Christmas at Abbotsford, the former home of renowned Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott. Step back in time as the historic house is beautifully dressed to reflect the charm of an 1820s Scottish Christmas. Explore the elegant rooms adorned with seasonal decorations, and don’t miss the unique Waverley book tree, a stunning centrepiece on display in Scott’s Library. It’s a heart-warming glimpse into a traditional Christmas of the past. DAY FOUR – Edinburgh Christmas Market This morning, we drive to Edinburgh’s centre to enjoy our day at the Christmas Markets. Edinburgh is a true winter wonderland at Christmas time and the festive markets are sure to delight. You’ll find gifts galore, fantastic food and Christmas cheer aplenty, so take time to explore, pick-up the perfect presents, and sample fine festive treats. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

LANTERNS AT LONGLEAT AND BRISTOL CHRISTMAS MARKET Each year, Longleat’s Festival of Light transforms the park into a dazzling winter wonderland. Enjoy stunning lanterns, festive scenes in Longleat House, attractions in the Main Square, and the park’s famous animals waiting to pinch your mince pies! HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Longleat Festival of Light | Bristol Christmas Market | Wells | Chippenham DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel south to our hotel in Swindon where tea and coffee and a cookie await you on your arrival whilst your bags are taken to your room. Time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Wells and Longleat & The Festival of Light Today we head for the delightful city of Wells with its tiny Cathedral. We have time to explore the town and obtain lunch before we leave for Longleat House and the stunning Festival of Light. Europe’s largest ever display of Chinese lanterns will transform Longleat into a glowing winter wonderland, with thousands of new lanterns. Don’t miss the stunning Chinese Dragon Boat and the Terracotta Army features too. We return to the hotel in time for dinner. DAY THREE – Bristol Christmas Market and Departure This morning we leave for Bristol and the traditional Christmas Market. Located in the very heart of Bristol City Centre, the Christmas market is home to over 50 unique stalls. This is all underneath a glittering Christmas tree, adorned with an array of delightful decorations and spectacular lights, to welcome and guide you throughout the magical market. There are lots of opportunities for lunch as you explore the city before we leave late afternoon for home.

HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Harlow Carr Glow | Harrogate | York Christmas Markets DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Harrogate arriving in the afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Harrogate and RHS Glow Harlow Carr The morning is free to explore Harrogate. Stroll through the Valley Gardens, visit local shops in Montpellier Quarter, enjoy lunch at local cafes, or relax at Betty’s Tea Rooms. In the late afternoon, we head to RHS Harlow Carr to experience the stunning light displays, with iconic features like Streamside, Queen Mother’s Lake, Winter Walk, Doric Columns, and the Kitchen Garden glowing with festive magic. DAY THREE – York A full day to explore the historic city of York. Make the most of the city and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Christmas Markets. You can wander past the old shops of the Shambles, a medieval shopping complex or enjoy the fashionable shops of Parliament Street. Or perhaps take time to visit the spectacular York Minster itself. DAY FOUR – Departure After breakfast, we leave for home with fond memories of our time in Harrogate and York.

DAY TWO – Harrogate and Afternoon Tea Today we enjoy Harrogate, as you wander around the town, you’ll enjoy the festive atmosphere, and get a feel for the place, before we return to the hotel for our Afternoon Tea. Time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY THREE – Knaresborough and Boroughbridge This morning, we visit Knaresborough, a charming town of medieval streets and stone staircases perched on cliffs above the River Nidd. The impressive railway viaduct offers stunning views, while the marketplace is a great spot to relax with a cup of tea. At the base of the cliffs, a sunlit promenade gives a coastal feel. In the afternoon, we explore Boroughbridge, known for its distinctive architecture, thriving high street, and the Butter Market Museum, which showcases the town’s rich history and local artefacts. DAY FOUR – York This historic city, dating back to Roman times, is bursting with history, medieval character and architectural masterpieces; not to mention the independent shops in the pretty Shambles. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our journey home.
