HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Tenby | Gower Peninsula | Mumbles | Plas Llanelly House | Carmarthen DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Llanelli arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening. DAY TWO – Gower Peninsula and Mumbles Today we admire the beauty of the Gower Peninsula and the Mumbles. We visit the Gower Heritage Centre in a converted water mill where a guide will join the coach for a tour of the peninsula’s highlights before returning for an included cream tea or Welsh Cawl (soup/broth) and tour of the mill. We then visit Swansea, take in the waterfront, and the This morning after a leisurely breakfast we head into Llanelli and visit Plas Llanelly Houe, where history comes to life with a 90-minute guided tour that leads you on a rich and scandalous journey through time. We’ll then visit Carmarthen, one of Wales’s oldest towns , time at leisure here to take a look around. Take a stroll over the bridge into town, or walk along the riverbank. We’ll then return to our hotel. DAY FOUR – Tenby maritime quarter before we continue back to our hotel. DAY THREE – Plas Llanelly House and Carmarthen Today we travel to Tenby enjoying the day in this well-known town with its warm atmosphere and Victorian houses. Experience the friendly harbour, relax, and unwind on one of the three fantastic beaches or simply sit and watch the world go by. There is an array of delightful shops to browse and restaurants, pubs, and tea rooms to obtain lunch. DAY FIVE – Departure After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS Fonmon Castle | Tredegar House | Barry Island | Llanelli DAY ONE – Arrival We depart from your home and travel to Llanelli arriving late afternoon Today, we explore Fonmon Castle, the last residential castle in Wales, dating back to the 12th century. It has served as an important power centre for South Wales and the ancestral home to just two families. You can enjoy the castle and its grounds, which likely began as a wooden fortress before the 10th century, with the oldest part still standing being the Keep, built in 1180. Don’t miss the Walled Kitchen Garden and the Great Hall, where you can imagine living in such opulence. We then visit Barry Island, where you’ll have free time to explore before returning to our hotel. DAY THREE – Tredegar House After breakfast, we take a short journey to Tredegar House, a 17th- century red brick mansion with rich history. One of the architectural wonders of Wales, it stands within 90 acres of beautiful gardens and parkland. For over 500 years, it was home to the Morgan family, later Lords Tredegar, who owned vast estates in south-east Wales. The house, built between 1664 and 1672, is steeped in tales of war heroism, Russian princesses, and self-sufficiency. Explore the impressive State Rooms, Below Stairs with its kitchen and servant’s hall, and enjoy the tranquil gardens and parkland, a haven for wildlife. Tredegar House offers something for everyone. DAY TWO – Portmeirion and Caernarfon This morning, we will explore Portmeirion with its architectural heritage, stunning setting and sub-tropical gardens. Situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, the Italian Riviera meets rural Wales with a riot of colour and architectural styles. Built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion is now one of Wales’ most popular tourist destinations. Portmeirion Village is well known as the location for the 1960s cult TV series The Prisoner. This afternoon we will return to Caernarfon where you can either relax in the hotel, or perhaps take a stroll around the town, harbour or castle. DAY THREE – Porthmadog and Departure Our morning excursion takes us to Porthmadog, known locally as ‘Port’. Porthmadog is situated on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park on the estuary of the Afon Glaslyn. After some time here to enjoy the harbour and shops, we’ll continue our journey home.
