Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?

Can we have exclusive use of the venue?

From what time can we get access to decorate the venue? 7:00am. What time does the reception need to nish? 1:00am (Last song 12:50am). Do you have a late licence? Yes. We are able to host till 1:00am. Are there noise restrictions if we have a live band? Live music is restricted at 10pm out of consideration for our residential neighbours, given our location as a town centre venue. Do you have a sound limiter? Yes, a 110db limiter. All sound is controlled via the hotel sound system, no outside speakers are permitted. Are reworks allowed? No, they are not permitted. Is confetti allowed? Biodegradable confetti is allowed outdoors.

Can we have a small, ceremonial re on our Mandap for our Indian ceremony? Yes. Our past couples have performed the ceremony in the Mandolay Suite or on the Surrey Suite Terrace for a more intimate gathering. Can the courtyard/garden/ terrace be used after nightfall? No, due to our residential area once it’s nightfall our Gazebo Lawn and Surrey Suite Terrace are not accessible. Do you have smoking areas? Although we are a non-smoking hotel you are permitted at the front of the hotel.

Yes, we have four licensed spaces at the hotel, including our Gazebo Lawn. The Mandolay Suite can host up to 500 guests with the next largest venue being Guildford Cathedral. Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors? Certainly! Our licensed area, situated at our Gazebo Lawn, accommodates a maximum of 180 individuals. Is there accommodation on site? We have 78 tastefully appointed bedrooms all fully equipped to meet the needs of even the most discerning guests. Is there a Honeymoon or Bridal suite? The Signature Suite has been specifically crafted to be an exclusive component of our Ultimate Wedding Package. Additionally, this suite is available for rent with all Wedding Packages, oering amenities such as a makeup and hair area, soaking tub, and air conditioning. Is there additional accommodation nearby? Our Wedding Specialist can oer information about additional nearby venues in the vicinity.

Can we use our own caterers? Yes, full Dry Hire Packages are available. Do you allow outside catering? Absolutely! We oer the opportunity to host your wedding with our Dry Hire Package. Get in touch with our Wedding Specialist to explore the advantages of our Dry Hire Wedding Packages. Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine? Our Wedding Packages are inclusive of wine service, however, should you prefer your own wine, our Dry Hire package might be most suitable. How many people can you t on your round tables? Our 6 foot round tables have a capacity of up to 12 individuals, with an optimal seating arrangement for 8 to 10 people. Can we have banqueting style set up for our wedding breakfast? Yes, of course. Our Wedding Specialist can discuss dierent layout options for our event suites.

There are several churches in the area and our Wedding Specialist can review options. Where is the closest registry oce? Yes, there is limited car parking on site and also 1,000 spaces within a 10-minute walk of the hotel. Our Wedding Specialist can provide a car parking map of Guildford to share with your guests.

Are candles allowed? Certainly! Tealights enclosed in votive holders are allowed. Do you permit Dhol drums inside the venue? Yes, we do!
