Can the Courtyard/Garden/ Terrace be used after Nightfall? No, due to our location once it’s nightfall our Gazebo Lawn and Surrey Suite Terrace are not accessible. Do you have Smoking areas? Although we are a non-smoking hotel, smoking and vaping are permitted at the front of the hotel.
Are you Licensed for Civil Ceremonies?
Do you allow Outside Catering? Absolutely! We o er a complete Dry Hire service. Please get in touch with our Wedding team to explore the advantages of our Dry Hire Wedding package. Do you charge Corkage if we supply our own Wine? Our Wedding packages are inclusive of wine service, however, should you prefer your own wine, our Dry Hire package might be most suitable, please just ask. How many People can you t on your Round Tables? Our 6 foot round tables have a capacity of up to 12 individuals, with an optimal seating arrangement for 8 to 10 people. Can we have Banqueting Style set up for our Wedding Breakfast? Certainly. Our Wedding Coordinator can discuss layout options with you. From what Time can we get Access to Decorate the Venue? 7:00am. What time does our Reception need to Finish by? 1:00am (Last song 12:50am). Do you have a Late Licence? Yes. We are able to host till 1:00am.
Are there Noise Restrictions if we have a Live Band? Live music is restricted at 10pm out of consideration for our neighbours. Do you have a Sound Limiter? Yes, a 110db limiter. All sound is controlled via the hotel sound system, no outside speakers are permitted.
Yes, we have four licensed spaces, including our Gazebo Lawn. The Mandolay Suite hosts up to 500 guests, the largest venue in Guildford that is not a Cathedral! Can we have the Wedding Ceremony Outdoors? Certainly! Our Gazebo Lawn, accommodates a maximum of 180 guests.
Are Fireworks allowed? No, they are not permitted.

Is Confetti allowed? Biodegradable confetti is allowed outdoors. Are Candles allowed? Certainly! Tea lights enclosed in votive holders are allowed. Do you permit Dhol Drums inside the Venue? Yes, we do! Can we have a small, Ceremonial Fire on our Mandap for our Indian Ceremony? Yes. Our past couples have performed the ceremony in the Mandolay Suite or on the Surrey Suite Terrace for a more intimate gathering.
There are several churches in the area and our Wedding Coordinator can review options with you. Where is the closest Registry O ce? Guildford Registry O ce Artington House, 42 Portsmouth Road Guildford, Surrey GU2 4DZ 0300 200 1002 Is there Parking on site? Yes, there is limited car parking on site as well as over 1,000 spaces within 5 minutes-walk of the hotel, including the G Live car park directly opposite us. Your Wedding Coordinator can provide a car parking map of Guildford to share with your guests.
We have 80 tastefully appointed, air-conditioned bedrooms including Junior Suites, all are fully equipped to meet the needs of the most discerning guests.
Is there a Honeymoon or Bridal Suite?
The Signature Suite is included as an exclusive component of our Signature Wedding package, and is available to book with all Wedding packages. The Suite o ers amenities such as a makeup and hair area, soaking tub, and additional floor area.
Is there Additional Accommodation nearby?
Yes, and your Mandolay Wedding Coordinator will be delighted to share information about other accommodation providers in the area. Can we have Exclusive Use of the Venue? Of course, and as always, your Wedding Coordinator will talk to you about the option
