himself. Prayer is the instrument'by which we can definitely invade the realm of evil spirits and claim vast areas of spiritual l i f e f o r God. Prayer changes things. More can be wrought in prayer than the world dreams of, and the great warriors of prayer are the triumphant soldiers of Christ in the holy war. No power in spiritual things is greater than the power of an intercessor. It is a power to influence man and nations to support missionaries, to defeat organized evil, to bring to pass a reviving of God’s work. But, sad to say, it is a weapon little used and because of its disuse great battles are lost. What an armor this is! What a panoply! What an equipment which God has provided to give us mighty power in His service!
the rider on the white horse who will come forth is Faithful and True, and that in righteousness he judges and makes war. “Out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations.” The sword is the Word of God. The last element in the armor pro vided by the Lord for the believer is prayer in the Spirit. This weapon releases powers as great on our be half as those which are against us and against which we have to con tend. In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus said, “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” When Daniel had prayed for twenty-one days, an angel came to him and an nounced that he had been withstood by the prince of Tyre or by Satan
