camping Grand Island offers visitors almost 2,000 hotel rooms, with options for family vacations on a budget or the comforts of home for business travelers. New hotels and camping Two new hotels will open in the first half of 2025. The Grand Island Casino Resort will feature 160 rooms, two pools, three restaurants, a spa, and of course the casino. This resort will be located on the Fonner Park campus offering a variety of other entertainment throughout the year. A SpringHill Suites will open in or around May in the Prairie Commons area of town with 129 suites, a pool, and free breakfasts. Plans for two more new hotels are also in the works, one of which has already broken ground.
Twenty-one new RV stalls are going in at the Cheyenne State Recreation Area, each with 50-amp service. They should be ready for Memorial Day weekend.
