PROJECT PROFILE

DUNLUCE LODGE, PORTRUSH

SUB-CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS WORKING ALONGSIDE HANNA MECHANICAL ON ITS INSTALLATION INCLUDED C&F QUADRANT LTD, FAIRHAVEN H&V SERVICES AND ACS CONTROLS… COLLABORATION KEY TO SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF MECHANICAL SERVICES

Delivering a full mechanical installation at Dunluce Lodge, Hanna Mechanical collaborated closely with main contractor Martin & Hamilton Construction and multiple sub-contractors and suppliers. As the North Coast’s first five-star property, the project demanded a high spec in terms of both the aesthetic integration and performance of services. Installation of AC was sub-contracted to Aircon and ventilation to Principal HVAC, the building management system was supplied by ACS Controls, and C&F Quadrant Ltd supplied and commissioned AIC Nesta Chrome 150kW wall-hung boilers in a cascade system for the luxury property. High-efficiency condensing boilers covering a wide range of outputs from 60kW to 150kW, the Nesta Chrome range offers a modulation ratio of 10:1, compact dimensions and is light weight. With additional external controls, up to six boilers totalling 900kW can be cascaded. The heat exchangers have been

engineered for market-leading performance, making the boiler one of the most efficient in its class. C&F Quadrant also supplied an ACV 85TC tank and Watermaster® 120TC tank, combining ACV’s ‘tank-in-tank’ concept with a double primary circuit to reach the high performance of a total condensation, double-circuit water heater. Designed for commercial applications, the WaterMaster® range of condensing water heaters is proving popular with hotels. Its models are equipped with a bigger capacity tank, and designed to produce large volumes of hot water and meet high-DHW demands at peak moments. A DHW circuit recirculation connection also guarantees faster delivery of hot water to the whole facility. The series is particularly suitable for places where numerous DHW demands occur simultaneously and is compliant with the latest Ecodesign regulations for DHW. Fairhaven H&V Services, meanwhile, supplied a range of HVAC products

for the project including S&P AIRSENS inline extractor fans for bathrooms and a kitchen canopy extractor fan. It also sourced Colman linear bar grilles for the bedroom fan coil units, spa treatment rooms and gym, and HVC Supplies louvres for both the kitchen and external areas of the property.
