Our team have successfully completed basic fire awareness training. This important initiative has equipped our team with essential fire safety knowledge, ensuring a safer environment for everyone. The training covered a range of critical topics, including fire prevention strategies and how to respond effectively in the event of a fire. By empowering our colleagues with this knowledge, we are enhancing their ability to protect themselves, our guests, and the property.
We have once again successfully completed our yearly fire evacuation drill, conducted in collaboration with the Maldives National Defense Force. The drill included comprehensive training for all staff members, covering evacuation procedures, emergency response tactics, and coordination with local authorities. By simulating various scenarios, we were able to test and refine our emergency protocols, ensuring that our team is well- equipped to handle real-life situations effectively and efficiently. The safety and security of our guests and staff remain our top priority. Through such drills, we continue to reinforce our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment at our hotel.
We are thrilled to share the latest updates on our ongoing Junior Leaders Program (JLP). This initiative is designed to nurture and develop the leadership skills of our promising talents. The participants are currently engaging in a variety of activities and training sessions, all meticulously planned to enhance their abilities and prepare them for future leadership roles within our organization. The enthusiasm and dedication shown by our junior leaders have been truly inspiring. Their commitment to learning and growing is a testament to the potential they hold. We are confident that through JLP, they are acquiring the skills and experiences necessary to drive our organization forward in the years tocome.
Our Housekeeping colleagues recently completed a comprehensive training session on basic chemical and cleaning processes with the Diversy team. This important training enhances our team’s skills and ensures we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our hotel. The training covered essential topics, including the proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals, advanced cleaning techniques, and adherence to safety protocols. By equipping our housekeeping team with this knowledge, we are committed to providing a pristine and safe environment for our guests and staff.
“DOGOOD” is one of the behaviors that we live by.
Our team recently had the pleasure of visiting Fiyavathi Orphanage, our EMBRACE partner, for a joyful evening filled with laughter. Each department organized a range of games and activities, creating a lively and heartwarming environment for the children. The event was a true testament to the spirit of community and compassion that drives us. Our team's efforts brought warm smiles and happiness to the children's faces, making it a memorable and fulfilling experience for everyone involved. We are proud to support and engage with our local community, and we remain committed to making a positive impact through such meaningful initiatives.
Our colleagues around the world have led many creative initiatives to care for our environment and communities.
Our team took a significant step towards environmental sustainability by partnering with Parley Maldives for a plastic bottle collection drive in Malé City. This initiative aimed to combat plastic pollution and raise awareness about the importance of recycling. The collaborative effort was a resounding success, with our dedicated team and the supportive community coming together to collect an impressive 97 bags of plastic bottles. These collected bottles were then handed over to Parley Maldives for proper recycling. We are proud of our team’s commitment to environmental stewardship and look forward to continuing our efforts to create a cleaner, greener future.
We celebrated this years, Global Wellness Day with a series of special initiatives aimed at promoting health and well- being. The highlight of the celebration was a wellness flow session designed specifically for the hotel’s colleagues and this session emphasized the importance of taking time to focus on personal well-being through simple stretches and exercises that help alleviate the daily stress of work life. Participants were guided through a series of movements aimed at promoting relaxation, flexibility, and mental clarity. Our team remains committed to promoting wellness and providing exceptional experiences for both guests and colleagues. The Global Wellness Day celebration is just one of the many initiatives the hotel undertakes to support a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Our monthly townhall meeting is a time for updates, recognition, and celebration of the hard work of our champions.
A key highlight of the townhall was the recognition of our exceptional team members. Certificates were awarded to our "Joy Creators" and "Joy Delighters’’ to recognize their hard work and dedication.
We also had a delightful cake-cutting to honor the birthday celebrants of the month.
