ABOUT VARIETY In 2022-2023 Variety granted more than $447,000 which has directly or indirectly helped well over 7,140 Tassie kids in need. Variety supports Tassie kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with disability and are at risk of falling through the gaps. Variety has been helping these local kids and their families through our programs and experiences and individual and community grants for more than 30 years. Programs such as the Variety School Breakfast Club, Variety Kids Sports Days, Variety Creative Arts Therapy Program, and many more, all help to increase quality of life, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging. Variety makes sure the kids who miss out, can always join in.

and unquantifiable amounts of time and equipment to ensuring the success and elevation of Variety events.

With the generosity of everyone in the room, $150,000 was raised to provide a nourishing breakfast every school day for Tasmanian kids at risk of falling through the gaps. “Funds raised from the Variety of Chefs gala will support the expansion of the Variety Breakfast Club and ensure more children across Tasmania have access to breakfast at school every day,” Variety Tasmania CEO Mohammad Aldergham said. Every $100 raised on the night will feed a Tasmanian child breakfast for a year of school through the Variety School Breakfast Club. Over the last three years the Variety School Breakfast Club has helped to fuel the academic endeavours of kids in 25 schools across Tasmania, with many more on the waiting list.

Simply put, we help kids be kids.
