The evening was also a great opportunity for clubs to network with other community clubs. In September we will be holding a northern industry night in Devonport, where our guest speaker will be woodchopping legend and Australian champion David Foster. Moving forward into the second half of the year, Clubs Tasmania is holding several Committee leadership sessions around the state. These sessions are designed to strengthen committees, with talking points including knowing your roles within a committee, dealing with conflicts, planning, financials, setting goals and objectives and building a strong committee. By participating in these Committee Leadership sessions, club committees will be better equipped to lead with confidence, manage their responsibilities effectively, and contribute to the overall success and growth of their clubs. In September we are offering a series of free grant writing workshops, in partnership with Tasmanian Community Fund. These workshops are suitable for first time grant writers as well as those wishing to gain
extra tips on how to put your best words forward when applying for funding. Workshops will be held in: • Smithton • Burnie • Devonport • Launceston • Hobart Lastly, we’d like to share a testimonial we received from one of our members.
