OLUMBIA, MD — Ad- vantage Engineers , announced that Wayne Tucker, P.E. has joined the firm as a senior geotechnical engineer and will supplement their existing geotechnical design and construction-phase observation and testing ser- vices group in the Baltimore andWashington, D.C. markets. Tucker’s hiring is a part of the firm’s strategy to expand the geotechnical services depart- ment across the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Tucker joins Advantage with over 16 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, C
construction quality assurance and construction materials testing and inspection ser- vices. Tucker holds a Bach- elor of Science in Engineering from Temple University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Concentration) from Lehigh University. Tucker is licensed as a Professional Engineer in nine states and in the District of Columbia. ”We are extremely happy to have Wayne join our team,” said Jeff Wieboldt , Advan- tage Geotechnical Department manager. “Wayne’s engineer- ing expertise, market experi-
ence and leadership further enhances our established team and will only continue to help foster the growth and devel- opment of the geotechnical division in the Baltimore- Washington D.C. metro area.” Tucker will serve as Ad- vantage’s senior geotechnical engineer on the firm's newest project, the Banner Hill Luxury Apartments development in Ot- terbein near the Baltimore In- ner Harbor. The project devel- oper, ZOM Mid-Atlantic will be developing the six-story 349- unit apartment building featur- ing an underground 331-space parking garage. The 2.2-acre property was the former home of a specialty hospital owned by the University of Maryland Medical Center. Advantage was retained by the general contrac- tor, Clark Builders Group , to provide geotechnical and construction materials testing and observation services during construction. Advantage’s scope of work for this project will include providing materials testing and observation services during the installation of the temporary excavation support system, spread footing foundation con- struction, earthwork and util- ity backfill placement, and both reinforced and pre-cast concrete construction. n Maser Consulting P.A. announces new leadership structure RED BANK, NJ — Rich- ard Maser , founder of Maser Consulting P.A. has made a strategic change in its leader- ship. While maintaining his role as chairman and chief ex- ecutive officer of the firm, he is passing the company presiden- cy to Kevin Haney, PE and has advanced long-time direc- tor, Leonardo Ponzio, PLS to the position of executive vice president. Haney and Ponzio will continue to maintain their previous responsibilities as COO and chief administrative officer respectively. “While I am not reducing my commitment to the company, this is a planned transition to our leadership team,” said Maser. “In fact, I will continue seeking opportunities that will strengthen and provide long term stability for the Company, and I look forward to continuing to drive the com- pany’s direction for success.” n
