Agriculture is the global leading water consumer, whereby more than 70% of all global water is annually dedicated for agriculture. Since water supports life, its intensive abstraction for agriculture is directly affecting food supply (the SDG 2) and clean water availability (the SDG 6). Anthropogenic activities and natural processes have widely affected the climate and rain patterns, which in turn have affected food security and water availability. The establishment of climatic-smart agricultural water management system is a promising future. Apart from serving fresh water which could supplement the current global water demand of 4.6*10 15 L, its adaptation ensures climatic-resilience agriculture and minimized greenhouse gases emission that improve the livelihood of community. Since 2010 when FAO launched the concept of climate smart agriculture, yet the global awareness, micro and macro inclusivity and implementations are yet sufficient to support SDGs. Therefore, this study will focus on sustainable intensification approach and climatic smart agricultural practices that will increase public information flow, local institution involvements and strategizing adaptive capacity to low-income farmers. Public awareness, inclusivity and adoption to climate-smart water management is expected to improved water security, energy saving as well as improved agricultural productivity that will ensure food and water security.
