Lighting Design 201: Diving Deeper into Lighting Design Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Location: C106 Lighting up the outdoor space is simple for lighting pros. But, what can you do to set your designs apart as artwork worthy of eliciting emotion, intrigue and wonder … and a larger slice of the overall budget? Landscape lighting is often downsized or cut out of the budget, so showing your clients the real possibility, drama and utility of lighting will help them see the VALUE. Look beyond basic fixtures and techniques to elevate your lighting beyond simply “Lit Op” to “Lit Well”.

Microirrigation Fundamentals Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Location: C102 Called by different names (e.g., drip, micro, low volume), microirrigation is a collection of water-emitting devices that apply water at or very near a plant’s root zone. Because water is not sprayed through the air, a more precise water application can be achieved. Two of the many resulting benefits are better plant health and dramatic water savings. Microirrigation, born in the agricultural world, is now well established as an important part of landscape irrigation and must be understood by irrigators. This session will cover components and layout for landscape irrigation use at an introductory level.

An Electric Personality: The Growing Movement of Electric Equipment Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Location: C108

Additional session available Wednesday.

Learn from the pros so you can be doing volumetrics and creating digital surface models of your project today!

Look around, there’s more electric- powered equipment — both handheld and heavy duty — at Equip Exposition than ever. Even if you’re not ready to flip the switch yet, this panel of experts will advise on the strengths of battery power, the weaknesses that still need to be overcome, and what adjustments end users should be ready for. Also in the discussion: what do your employees think about electric equipment? What about your customers? Do they also have electric personalities or are they indifferent?
