He’s not just doing it to have a great event at Equip Expo. It’s all about the mission; it’s not about him.” “Educating about outdoor living, the benefits of our yards and parks, and animal rescue are real passions of mine,” Kiser sums up.

It’s even better if you can give a dog a forever home in the process.” Each year at Mutt Madness, the TurfMutt Foundation also presents KHS with a cash donation. Mulligan’s 5K Fun Run & Walk, which is held on opening day of Equip Exposition each year, is another fundraiser that benefits KHS and its mission. In 2022, the TurfMutt Foundation sponsored a makeover of the KHS Play Yard. “I can’t tell you what that has done for our team in terms of providing
peace of mind and a sense of safety for our animals,” said Gray. “Our team now has a bigger space to do play groups and behavioral training with our animals. Additionally, potential new families get to meet our adoptees in their element where they are happy and playing outside, using the agility equipment.” Kiser also recently assisted KHS in acquiring a new commercial mower by having a manufacturer visit the Willow Hope Farm, a 42-acre horse rescue and adoption facility and home to KHS’s C.A.R.E. (connect, assist, rescue and educate) Program. After their needs for outdoor power equipment were assessed, Kris bought the mower for KHS.
