MULLIGAN’S FUN RUN 5K LOUISVILLE 2024
Lace up your sneakers for the third annual Mulligan’s 5K Fun Run & Walk, sponsored by Active Dynamics. The family and dog friendly event steps off at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, before doors open at Equip Exposition. Participants can walk, jog, or run over the Ohio River on the famous Big Four Pedestrian Bridge, which connects Louisville to Jeffersonville, Ind. The route offers stunning views of the sunrise, river, city scape, and Louisville’s Waterfront Park, where the fun run and walk starts and ends (231 Witherspoon St.). Registration is $40, and proceeds benefit the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS). The KHS is a long-standing partner of the TurfMutt Foundation and provides the adoptable dogs for the annual Mulligan’s Mutt Madness national pet adoption event. Mulligan’s 5K Fun Run & Walk and Mulligan’s Mutt Madness are named after the TurfMutt spokesdog, Mulligan the TurfMutt. She was adopted by the TurfMutt Foundation President and CEO Kris Kiser at the 2019 Mutt Madness adoption event. Mulligan “paws it forward” by inspiring kids and their families to care for and spend time in their backyards, community parks and other green spaces. At the fun run and walk, you can meet Mulligan, as well as some of the dogs that will be available for adoption at Mulligan’s Mutt Madness.
