Locality HIGHLIGHTS

Meet RC! Outside the Box

Our very own RC Calgary members - Ryan Hoffman, Margaret Matthews, Lauren Weimer, and (because she’s Albertan, we still proudly claim her!) Eileen Wieck recently took part in the Regnum Christi “ Meet RC” campaign. This global initiative celebrates the beauty and diversity of Regnum Christi vocations and the many ways our members live out their mission in everyday life. True to form, our Calgary team couldn’t stay in the box - because Regnum Christi apostles don’t fit in boxes. They think beyond them, live beyond them, and love beyond them. Their joyful witness reflects who we are: a movement of missionary disciples bringing Christ’s light to every place He sends us - whether that’s a classroom, workplace, parish, or mission field. We’re so proud of our members for representing Canada with authenticity, creativity, and joy - and for reminding us that when we let Christ lead, there truly are no limits to where His mission can reach.

Support the Mission of Regnum Christi

Our Regnum Christi Calgary mission thrives when everyone participates in every way they can. Every member - young or old, family or individual - can make a financial contribution. Together, our gifts sustain the mission, ensure formation, financially support our seven LC priests, provide scholarships, pay for required administrative needs, and more! We invite and need 100% of our locality members to join in giving. Families are asked to give a minimum of $100 per month through a monthly or annual contribution. If this amount is too high, please give what you can; likewise, if you can give more. Help make our RC mission a reality here in Calgary!

Every gift is meaningful and tax-deductible. Thank you to all our members who are already contributing! If you are not already participating, please join us today.

Triduum Retreat at Entheos (October 2-5)

This year’s Triduum at Entheos was a beautiful gift to enter more deeply into our Regnum Christi charism and mission, and to be renewed in our apostolic zeal to bring Christ to others. Fr. Michael Picard, LC, wove his talks beautifully using many of our statutes to help us renew our zeal and love for the Mission that God called us to, each with our own unique and special gifts to share. Fr. Michael personally presented each of us with a boat to take to the chapel and remind us to always put Jesus in our boa t!

We are truly a “Community of Apostles,” accompanying others to recognize that “Christ is in their boat” amid all the waters of their lives.

We were delighted to introduce, for the first time, the newly developed Triduum Renewal Retreat Book, created locally by our own Michelle Hoffman. This valuable resource guided our retreat and continues to bear fruit through a special seven-day follow-up, inspiring participants to revisit key themes and to keep the fire of renewal alive and growing

Over 60 women joined Forming Whole Hearts with Fr. Daniel Wilson, LC, who Zoomed in from Los Angeles, California. His insights and practical suggestions on making space for Christ in the little moments of our day— with intentionality, not perfection—were truly inspiring. It was an encouraging and down-to-earth session that helped us discover simple, meaningful ways to welcome God into the everyday moments of life, to stop striving and start abiding, even in the midst of laundry, work, and noise.
