P690 Prepracticum (2)

Primary interpersonal skills and counseling techniques are assessed and facilitated prior to the student's first practicum field experience. Various training techniques are employed in a small group setting . These include empathy training, demonstrations, and audio-video feedback.

P691-696 Practicum (1-3)

Individually supervised clinical experiences including diagnostic and therapeutic activities with inpatient and outpatient clientele. Hospitals, private and public clinics, mental health organizations, schools and college counseling centers are utilized. Prerequisite: Successful completion of P690 or approval of Professional Training Committee

P701 College Teaching of Psychology (2)

A seminar on teaching methods including the development of course ob­ jectives, outlines, lectures and evaluations. Major emphasis is placed on an examination of the various teaching methods available to the teacher of psychology. P703 Organization and Administration of Psychological Services (1) A seminar dealing with administrative issues such as personnel, finances, community relations, and supervision.

P704 Advanced Research Design (3)

A continuation of P601 for students interested in pursuing dissertation research. Course will include advanced study of univariate and multivariate analysis of variance, regression analysis, canonical and discriminant analysis, and factor analysis. Prerequisite: P601
