Betriebsanleitung Drahtseilhalter 40S, 50S + 80S

Original-Betriebsanleitung/Original instruction manual Drahtseilhalter RopeFix 50S/Cable Glider RopeFix 50S Stand/Issued: 11.07.2016

The Cable Glider RopeFix 50S suspends static loads up to 90 kg (WLL) on steel wire ropes. It was designed for applications which are in compliance with the accident prevention rules described in “DGUV BGV C1”, such as stage productions; fairs, etc. A safe connection requires a sufficiently loadable upper attachment point. Make sure this attachment point has been installed by a trained specialist.

The connection between Cable Glider RopeFix 50S and steel wire rope is always done in an analogous manner: The end of the wire rope is inserted into the retainer of the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S. Now the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S can be randomly shifted along the wire rope. As soon as a load is attached, it grips the wire rope. Make sure the wire rope is inserted into the RopeFix far enough to see it sticking out of the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S on its other end. After affixing the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S in the desired position, tighten the safety-nut by hand (don´t use tools!) as far as possible. Now the full working-load can be attached to the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S. It´s no longer moveable. After the working-load has been suspended the safety-nut has to be retightened once more (again, do not use tools!). To affix the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S to another position on the wire rope, simply reverse the procedure: take the suspended load off the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S, completely unscrew the safety-nut, press down the retainer. Now the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S can again be shifted up and down the wire rope. wire ropes and Cable Glider RopeFix 50S may not be damaged including the inscription. the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S spring-loaded retainer has to have a distinctly spring resistance. the wire rope end inserted into the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S must be sealed (tinning; heat-shrinkable sleeve). always use at least 2 Cable Glider RopeFix 50S for each suspended object. the wire ropes exit angle from the retainer may not exceed 5° Cable Glider RopeFix 50S may not be used as connecting elements on safety ropes. Cable Glider RopeFix 50S are not suitable for dynamic loads. Cable Glider RopeFix 40S are not permitted for use in outdoor areas. It is only allowed to use coupling parts for the RopeFix Systems, for example eybolts, if there is no separate indication of working load limit attached on it or when it is no longer legible. Different working load limits shall not be inscribed because of the likelihood of confusion. Remarks and Advice:

Overload

If the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S is exposed to overload, the overload mechanism is triggered by a movement of the retainer beyond a critical region. Thus, the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S has become unusable and must be replaced.

ERS GmbH declares under sole responsibility that the in this instruction manual listed products coincide with the EC Machinery Directive (2006/42 / EC), and that the following Standards were applied: DIN EN 13411 parts 5 & 7. Furthermore, the products are listed BGV C1 (Certificate Number: 1551043 OA) and TÜV-GS (Certificate Number: Z1A 15 09 70668 006) certified.

The Cable Glider RopeFix 50S is suitable for the following steel wire ropes : ø 5.0 mm

The use of the following wire ropes is permissible for the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S:

ø 5.0 mm galvanised steel wire rope 6x7, similar to DIN EN 12385-4; rated tensile strength = 1770 N/mm² ø 5.0 mm galvanised steel wire rope 6x19, similar to DIN EN 12385-4; rated tensile strength = 1770 N/mm² ø 5.0 mm galvanised steel wire rope 6x37, similar to DIN EN 12385-4; rated tensile strength = 1770 N/mm²

The minimum tensile strengths of wire ropes used may not be lower than those inscribed on the Cable Glider RopeFix 50S.
