Vajramudita (Vee) Armstrong

Background and Work Experience I’m interested in how we remain and become more and more human in our work as leaders, how we make good decisions for ourselves and those around us, how we bring more meaning and value into our lives, how we create the conditions so that we are at our creative best and play to our strengths. I have 24 years experience of delivering performance as a director, manager and engineer, leading teams in a global pharmaceutical organisation and not-for-profit organisation. I have experience of working with global, virtual, and local leadership teams in the UK, US, Europe and India.

I work with middle to senior leaders and teams in the NHS, local government, education and the global private sector.

I’m interested in communication (inter-personal) and how we communicate so that we get more creative outcomes to more easily resolve dilemmas and conflict. I’ve trained in NVC (Non-violent communication techniques) to develop these skills. I’m an accredited mindfulness trainer and have over twenty-years personal mindfulness practise. Mindfulness techniques help with managing anxiety, stress, and physical pain and help enhance self-awareness, perspective, focus, decision making and well-being. Approach My personal style is based on a fundamental belief in human potential, personal growth,  development and a desire to have a positive impact. I have this wish for myself, and all the people I work with. I’m interested in sustainable personal growth which usually takes time and patience.

I take a client centred, solution focused approach to coaching with clients to facilitate self awareness and personal growth.

Feedback from clients reflect my empathetic, and creative approach brings about deep insight, learning and performance improvement for individuals and organisations.

My coaching approach is based on a co-active coaching model using the following principles: The client is resourceful The coaches role is to work with and develop the client’s resourcefulness: its not about giving advice Coaching addresses the whole person- past, present and future The client sets the agenda The coach and client are equals
