Rediscover local favourites across Telford and Wrekin From Dawley to Wellington, Ironbridge to Newport, and everywhere in between, the Borough offers green spaces, history and family activities right on the doorstep. • Telford Town Park remains a firm favourite, with woodland trails, adventure play areas and peaceful paths linking to the Silkin Way. • The Telford T50 50 Mile Trail, created by local volunteers, winds through communities including Stirchley, Oakengates, Coalbrookdale, Lawley and Ketley – a great way to explore different parts of the Borough on foot. • For those who enjoy a challenge, The Wrekin and The Ercall provide some of the Borough’s best views and are easily reached from Wellington. • To the north, Lilleshall Abbey’s historic remains offer a quiet place to wander, while Granville Country Park in Donnington is a fantastic spot for wildlife and woodland walks shaped by the area’s mining heritage. • And of course, The Ironbridge Gorge remains one of the most iconic parts of the Borough, perfect for riverside strolls, independent cafés or a walk across to the Iron Bridge itself.
