Queensland Health (QH) comprises: • Department of Health that provides strategic leadership and direction to the public health system. • 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHS) They run an S/4HANA system for finance, procurement, supply chain, asset management in HEC and HR/payroll hosted internally. Both leverage on-premise single metric (FTE based) licensing.
• Upgrading and migrating HR/payroll (ECC hosted internally) and finance, procurement, supply chain, asset management (S/4HANA in HEC) to 2 instances of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition (Commit to Consume) with planned go lives in February (HR/payroll) and May 2026 (Finance) . • BTP for interfaces • Build Workzone as entry point to SAP and non SAP (Rostering) systems for 130,000 employees.
• HR/payroll infrastructure (internally hosted) and application (SAP) end of life events in 2025, 2027 respectively • Inconsistent operating model across SAP landscape with increasing cost profile and security concerns • Lack of flexibility and agility to support changing requirements – slow approval processes for any changes • Lacking the foundation to support future roadmap to address manual processes and data silos
