BOARD AND DELIVERY: We will board the bulls free of charge after the sale and deliver free of charge within a 300-mile radius. We normally begin making deliveries during the middle of March in order to open up our lots for our replacement heifers by April 1. We encourage you to insure your bull to protect against accident or injury following the sale. All bulls have passed a fertility exam and semen test prior to the sale.

HEALTH: • At birth all calves are given Ultrabac 7 C&D and type A • At grass time: Ultrabac 7 C&D, EnForce 3, Vira Shield 6, and Nuplura PH • At weaning, late August: Ultrabac 7 with Som, EnForce 3, ViraShield 6, & Nuplura PH • 3 weeks post weaning: Booster with Ultrabac 7 C & D, and BoviSheild Gold One Shot, Dectomax & weights taken • From time to time, we add outside genetics to our herd in the form of proven cows and new herd sires. For the past 12 years, we have maintained the practice of annually testing for Johne’s Disease to ensure the health of our herd with all dams to the bulls testing negative. We have also tested our cow herd to be negative for BVD-PI. WEANING INFO & FINAL EPDS: • The spring bulls and fall born bulls are handled under different environments and weather conditions, and therefore it is not apples to apples comparing their weights. • .Yearling Weights are taken in late January after the deadline for our sale book. We will post a supplement sheet prior to the sale with actual scrotal measurements on the bulls taken from their January 23 and 24 semen test date. SEMEN INTEREST ON BULLS: High Point Genetics will be retaining 1/3 semen interest on all bulls selling unless otherwise noted. Buyers receive full possession and salvage value. SHARED FIRST SEASON 90-DAY BREEDING GUARANTEE: All bulls selling for $5,000 or more will be covered 50% by High Point Genetics if they are injured during their first breeding season and will not heal, causing them to be a non-breeder. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turn out of the bull. Fifty percent of the purchase price less $1,500 will be given towards credit of a replacement bull, if available, or credit will carry forward till the next year. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible should injury occur and prior to the bull being sold as salvage. All claims must be made by September 1, 2026. Example: A $10,000 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $5,000 less $1,500 will be given to the buyer. (Credit = $3,500 and buyer retains all salvage value of the bull.) Please note: No credit will be given if the bull is struck by lightning or dies during the breeding season.

Many People Ask What our Bulls Sell For? *In recent past sales most of our bulls have sold for between $6,500 and $10,000 with some selling for slightly less and some selling higher. A good bull is the best and most cost-effective investment you can make on your ranch. If a good bull costs $10,000 and you get 4.5 breeding seasons on average, and he is worth $3,000 when you are done with him then he only costs you an average of $1,555 / year! For Example: $10,000 cost -$3,000 salvage = $7,000. $7,000 spread over 4.5 years = $1,555/year a good bull costs you in depreciation.”

Thank you very much for considering High Point Genetics for your herd bull needs. We are proud of these bulls and believe they are the most uniform, highest quality group we have raised, and we are anxious to show them to you. We want you to know that our bulls are grown on pasture, not a feedlot. Post weaning, through near sale day, our bulls run on 100 acres of pasture where they are fed. We believe this is important for their longevity as they remain athletic and ready to go to work. They should be one of the leanest sets of bulls you will find. Our cow herd is managed under similar conditions to our commercial bull customers. Our cows typically graze well into December on southern Iowa fescue and are brought home just before January calving begins. We do not own a feed wagon but rely on bale unrollers and a hay grinder to feed our cows and heifers throughout the winter months. Throughout our sale book you will notice bulls raised by cows in their teens and references to the production of granddams and great granddams of our bulls. We value longevity and cows that do their job year in and year out. All the bulls have been DNA evaluated with the results reflected in their EPDs. We continue to offer a Shared First Season Breeding Guarantee, Volume Discounts, Free Board on the Bulls until the first part of April and Free Delivery within 300 miles. In addition, all the bulls in the sale over one year of age have been semen tested by Dr. Shawn Nicholson of the Stuart Vet Clinic and passed a Breeding Soundness Exam prior to the sale. The bulls were pictured and videoed at Christmas time and can be found on our website, www.highpointbulls.com and DVAuction.com. Again, this year the sale will be broadcast live on DVauction.com.
