meeting was going on and were just leav ing when something seemed to draw them back and there they sat drinking in the. life-giving Word. Two o f our boys, always watching for souls, drew them aside and again presented the Gospel in all its sweet simplicity. Two.copies of the'New Testa ment had been handed our workers, just as they Started that afternoon, with the remark, “You may need these,” and sure enough they did. . Upon the fly-leaf there is a place for- the date, name and address under the decision which reads : ■ “Con vinced o f riiy sinful condition and believ ing that Christ died for me, and rose again and will save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him (Heb. 7: 25), I ' now receive Him as .my personal Saviour and with His help intend to confess Him openly (Rom. 10:9).” What a comfort it will be to some mother’s heart to have that little Testament returned to her should her boy fall in the trenches, giving her the assuranpe that she will meet him again when the smoke is forever cleared away, “up there with JeSus” above it all eternally. “ Brethren, pray for us.”

He died last night!” We can' only hope he was truly' saved, but we will never really know until we reach home: “ It’s not always the thing that you do, But the thing that is left undone, That gives you the bit o f heartache At the setting of the sun.” Again, we were on the point o f rushing off to an afternoon shop meeting. We had a strong crew and the field was particu larly hard, yet. the still small voice whis pered, “You stay behind and pray for the others.”- So, without saying anything to them we spent the time holding on to the .ropes. “Well,” was; the report, “ we'never had a meeting like that. The men were so quiet and attentive; such liberty in speak ing and such' conviction .that the message was. being driven home." O f course, we told the secret o f it all, and all our hearts were encouraged. The next time we tried the same plan, with the result that two men were brought to the Lord' Jesus. They were brothers and had dropped in to say goodbye, as they were about to begin their journey “ somewhere over there.” They had been gathering up their traps while our

H OW we rejoice that we have not only been : chosen, but also ordained to a specific work, and that is' to go and bring forth fruit. Would that every child of God might feel the “go” upon them and do with their might what their hands find to do. Not only are we to bring forth fruit, but our fruit is to remain. As the Spanish speaking people are o f a roving disposition,, it is rather difficult to keep in touch with the converts, but among some that we have been able to visit fre quently we have ventured to ask the ques tion, “Well, how is it now? Are you

saved ?” In reply, one young man answered, “Yes, I am.” We said “How do you know?” and the unhesitating reply was, “Because I am confiding in the Lord Jesus Christ.” The father o f this same young man, who also has accepted thè Lord, told how the Lord had been his helper. One night some thieves entered his barn and, stole his horse. Early in the morning both father and son went out searching the neighbor hood until noon.,; After - lunch, he said, there was one more place he wanted to look and asked the Lord that if it pleased Him he might find his horse there when
