And when he had called iht people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 . For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life fo r my sake and the gos pel’s, the same shall save it. 36 . For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 . Or what shall a man give in exchange fo r his soul? 38 . Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words, in this adulterous arid sinful generation, of him. also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. with the feeding o f the five thousand related in chapter six. Notice the several differing particulars, all which show very clearly that the two are entirely different. The first took place at the northeast cor ner of the Sea o f Galilee; this down near the southeast corner. On the first occasion 5000: men beside women and children were fed, on the second 4000 men. At the first He used five small loaves and two fishes; at the .second, seven loaves and a. few small fishes. At the first, twelve baskets- ful o f pieces were gathered u p ; after the second, seven basketsful. The 5000 were

Our Lord, after heal ing the Syro-Phoenician woman’s daugh ter Came into the territory in which were situated the ten free cities called the Deca- polis. Some o f these were on the east side o f the Sea o f Galilee and the Jordan River, and some were on the west side. It is pretty generally agreed that the inci dent o f the healing o f the deaf man (Mark 7:31-37) took place east o f the Sea of Galilee; but the exact location cannot be determined. I.
